I have a 2-year-old lionhead/dwarf rabbit who is very timid and shy and on rare occasion a bit naughty. She lives in a bunny cage we bought for her from Fleet Farm that has a slide-out tray on the bottom so we can clean it. Cleaning it THAT way isn't...well...you know, a PREFERRED way to keep her cage clean, so we're considering litter box training. Is it too late to litter box train her? If not could I get some methods? Much appreciated!

It is entirely possible to litter train an adult rabbit. The house rabbit society has better instructions than I could ever hope to give, so I'll just give you the link :-)

Just a quick question. Does your cage have a wire bottom? If so, that really isn't the best for rabbits. It can lead to pododermatitis (sore hocks) and really can't be comfy. At least provide some solid surface for her, or better yet get rid of the wire all together. My rabbit absolutely love the cage I made for them, like this:

No, it is definately not too late. I trained a older rabbit to use a litter box and he is perfectly trained on it. All it takes is more patience than normal but it can definately be done.

It is never too late. The most simple way of training is to put the potty wherever the rabbit chooses to go.

Most bunnies have a designated pee spot, and once they get the hang of it, you can slowly inch the potty to YOUR preffered pee spot.
