Question:
Do animals dream, or think?

Curiosity.. I have a cat and she always sleeps. I always wondered if she has dreams, or thinks of her mother or something. Or she wonders where I am when I'm gone. Does she even know me? When I come to the room she always meows... Lol

Yes they do think/dream. It is very common. If you have a dog you have noticed that they try to run or they bark in their sleep. They probably think they are chasing something or that they are a superhero lol. But cats would as well. I have a cat and have never seen her meow in her sleep. But they could be dreaming about anything. Who knows! And yes she does know you by your scent. She loves you as she would look to you as her mother. Even if your a boy lol. My cat meows too. She might be saying hello. Or might be hungry. My cat normally meows because she is hungry. She is a fat cat.

Anyways I hope I helped :)

Yes animals definetly think. And about the dreaming...my cat meows sometimes when she sleeps..and my dog barks sometimes as well. So i would have to say yes they dream...what they dream about who knows but must be something good. Cause my dog even tries to run in his sleep. Crazy pets.Your cat knows you just as much as she knows if someone is a stranger. They are very good at telling family from non-family.

yess animals dream, they do think and they know your gone and want you to come back when your gone, which means that shes thinking about how much she misses you.

she does know you dont worry,

but no, unless she still lives with her mother, she does not even know that she has a mother, after a mother and ofspring animal are seperated they completly forget about each other and the mother cat will likley move her concentration to her next litter.

I reckon they do both, as ive seen animals kicking as if they are running while they are sleeping

and yes they do think as they do have brains and need to think in order to survive

animals do think but probably not in the same way we do like reasoning logically etc... and my dogs dream for sure. they make lil grunting noises or squeaks sometimes and they even move their lil paws like they're running... and i believe that animals recognize their humans

they are animals who cares. ever think about what's going through the minds of all the animals that get slaughtered for consumption every year? people don't think about it because it makes them sick. so moral of the story: who cares if they can think or not.
