Is my tarantula dying or stressed?

My Chilean Rose Hair has been laying curled up in the corner of her cage for a while and wouldn't eat. I stopped using the reptile heading pad because the weather is warming up, and I keep her water dish full.

I fed her a mouse pinkie yesterday and moved her cage to where I could watch her on my desk. I came back today and she was laying curled completely in the corner. I moved her into my closet where it is very dark to hopefully cause less stress?

This sounds like death curl.... Tarantulas and many other spiders tend to start curling up or become inactive before they die. It might only have a few days if not hours left. However, there's still a chance it might just be stresssed or preparing to molt, so don't jump to conclusion yet. Best thing to do now is wait and see...

Hey look, another owner of a Grammostola rosea who has NO idea what they're doing!

If the legs are curled up then she is dead or dying. DO NOT use a head pad on a tarantula’s enclosure. It can burn and kill them. Besides, the G.rosea only needs it room temperature, You might have cooked her. The only thing you have done right is keeping her water dish full.

NEVER, EVER feed a tarantula a pinkie mouse. ESPECIALLY the G. rosea! It causes bad moults and kills them. Tarantulas don't have bones and do not need calcium.

Moving her to a closet? If you knew what you were doing you would put her in an ICU. But I doubt you know what that even is, or how to make one.

Poor girl... I hope she's okay. Try the ICU and if not, I hope you learn proper tarantula care before buying another. Put her in an ICU and get her hydrated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lAx1z6vKZE
