No, monkeys are social creatures. If you're going to be so cruel as to keep a lone marmoset you need to be around it all day every day for it to work. Better still, you should have a pair or trio of marmosets. Please bear in mind that these are aggressive, smelly animals that need access to an outdoor heated enclosure with natural sunlight, they can carry diseases that can kill you and can be killed by common diseases like the human cold or coldsores. They are delicate animals, more of a full time job than any other animal. I would seriously think again if you work full time, you're not going to be able to provide them with the enrichment they need.

NO IT ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT. You CANNOT imprison a SOCIAL animal and leave it alone why you go to work all day!!!! Marmosets are a lot of work, you need two at least and they will cost thousands to buy and thousands to feed and treat at the vet every year. They become aggressive as adults, crap and piss everywhere and pee on their hands and rub it all over you. They are a FULL TIME JOB you cannot work and take care of a monkey at the same time!!!!!!!!
