So this is my rabbit's (Ellie) 2nd preg. Last time she was great she made a large nest weeks before neccary, pulled all the fur off her tummy for nursing growled and hissed at anyone but me touchin them and eyed me when I touched them and they were huge!! There were 4 and were big (at 7weeks 2x my freinds 7week mini rex's) so I could tell she was feeding them:)

well this time I'm a little worryed 1/2 way though the pregnacy she stoped eating and the would eat only carrots at the end of the pregnacy she starting eating agian but by this time I was worryed about there health and she didn't pull any hair till labor, the hair around her **** is all still there and there isn't much fur in the nest just a small amont the rest is straw. And she doesnt mind when I pick them up or even when other people do!there r only 3 this time and there are much smaller than her last litter. Mostly I'm worryed she's not nursing cuz her **** feal dry! I fliped her over (she loves this cuz I rub her tummy) and I tryed placing a baby on her tit she freaked out and hissed at me!!!! I read that if there tummys r round and warm in the morning there being feed and they were but I'm still worryed:(Do u think she's nursed already today and doesn't want to agian or has she abonded them? Should I buy kitten milk and feed them daily just in case or will I just constpate them? If so how much do I give them? O and one peed on me this mornin does that mean it's being feed?

FYI: They were born tuseday afternoon and over all look very healthy and seem to want to nurse. There was a diffrant father this time Ellie & the fathers from both last & this year r full Netherland Dwarfs. Ellie's 2 1/2yrs the fathers age is unknown.

Please only answer if u know wat your talkin about

we have a dry doe that produces wonderful kits, so what we did was feed them kitten milk. feed them every one and a half to two hours (i think. my mom was the "nurser") or at night and morning. if their mom is still keeping them warm, let them live with her, but if not, take them out and make a nice and warm nest for them that will suit their needs and continue to feed them until they are 8 weeks old (that's just the formula). start introducing the rabbit feed at about 4-6 weeks in small amounts and hang a water bottle so if they get curious, they can see what it is.

And I have no idea if peeing on you means its getting fed, but if you're really scared, just feed them the kitten formula as an additive to make sure. Can't be too careful!

Baby rabbits may start trying solid foods as early as 2 weeks old. It's important to wean them at at least 8 weeks old even if they are eating just solids at that age :).

Try breast feeding yourself
